Pippi Longstocking - PART 1

It's our first themed post and it's coming in two pieces!
The reason it's coming in two is that it's really the first time i got a clear vision of what i'm doing :D and we got so many good pictures.
Both sets have pictures from different scenes. Make sure to check out both!

I will now present you my vision of Pippi Longstocking, does it match yours?

Yup, She's feisty!

Cheap is nice!

Hi everyone,

We found this unlabeled dress from UFF during it's 6€ sales day (stock clearance days). I was pretty shocked that a pretty, common summer dress like this was untouched for days during the sales. It's not a party dress but very viable for picnics and normal summer days! (Remember to check your local flea markets for awesome discoveries.)

Thanks for reading and enjoy summer!

Spring finally hit Finland!

Sunny day in downtown Töölö. It was the first time we shot pictures with people constantly walking around so i think it affected both of us in our performance. Though i was very happy we made it and got a bit of courage for the next time :)

Second post and hardest so far!

It's been two days since our first post within the blog came out and now it's time for the next one. It's hard to realize how difficult it is to continue this blog from scratch. I don't really have a story to continue or a happy event to celebrate, but one thing i had in mind and that was the next photoshoot.

This is what our long pondering about today's outfit got us and i was very pleased with it.

I was mainly focusing to find new backgrounds from our neighbourhood. Hardest part was to think about the outfit, every set seemed to miss one or two pieces to be complete. But we finally got an idea to do an opposite version of t shirt and jeans to make future sets more easy to fit between those two.

I really liked this photo until i saw my shadow on it. Didn't realize it until back home and felt kind of dull. But! I got an important lesson about patience and focus. I was so obsessed with taking loads of pictures just so i could have few good pictures of this scene. What i didn't realize was that even if i took a good picture of Saara, it was destined to be ruined by my shadow, just because i was pretty much tunnel visioning the shooting.

Rinse and repeat.. These shoes won't get the attention they deserve on this photo, but i swear it was the best close-up we got from them!

First impression

Now that setting up the page is finally complete we can focus on more relevant things! Though it seemed pretty easy at start, it soon started to get really frustrating, but we managed!

So, a small bit about us before we start. We are in early 20's and studying social services, we both live in Helsinki, Finland. My passion for fashion started on 2011 due to a dramatic lifestyle change. Yeah, i was one of those 2 jeans, 2 shirts and 1 jacket guys. (Appearance didn't matter as long as i didn't smell.) It all started in London, where i was with my first "real" paychecks and having a vacation without relatives. So i was ready to burn all my cash on electronics and such, but as i didn't find anything really worth buying, i found myself buying men's clothes more than i ever had and hey who knew, i had tons of fun! In no time it grew to a passion and then expanded also to women's clothes (not for me though!). I felt like i wanted to try out every possible outfit on female models to see how they mix and fit. In 2011 i thought about going to a school with a fashion degree, but ended up studying social services. At first i was vastly disappointed for not going to learn more about fashion. I then lost some of my motivation towards fashion, but gained it back few months later, that's when i met Saara. She was a student in my class, my model to be. She's had a colorful mix of styles during her teenage to early adult years from red mohawk to a platinum blonde. When we met we kind of merged our styles together making new improved ones for both of us, still keeping bits of old styles. Then came fashion for both of us, stronger than ever leading us to this point.

Let's start with the pictures then.
I wanted to start with something springish and looked inside the wardrobe. I got an idea to search for something colorful, something fit, as i think everyone has had quite enough for winter, baggy sweaters and big coats. So i thought let's put on something very opposite, something veeeeery fit! In here we have a shirt from United Colors of Benetton, handbag is from Primark, jeans are from Gina Tricot and shoes, those lovely shoes are from Zara.

Usage: this outfit is highly usable outdoors and when meeting friends for a coffee or even a schoolday if you are feeling happy! It's pretty neutral outfit if you aren't afraid of wearing colors, but still something that will make you look stylish and shiny amongst others. You can mix up these clothes with others pretty easily and get a good outcome by adding some accessories, but still try to keep it simple or you will look like a walking christmas tree. For example, you can  change high heels for ballerinas and ad a bracelet of the same color and look as fantastic but also bit more casual and different!

Thanks for reading, until next time!
